Community Transport South Wiltshire Car Scheme

MyPAd lets you write a social prescription for patients, customers or family members in Wiltshire. The groups, services, and information pages in the site can be saved to build your network of support in your community. Save links to information you have found on YourCareYourSupportWiltshire. Add your own notes and update them whenever you wish. If you are logged onto your account in MyLife, MyPad will save your links and notes until you delete them. If you are not logged on, the links and notes are saved until you close down YourCareYourSupportWiltshire.  

Service summary

The Car Scheme provides a Door to Door transport service Monday to Friday.

Bookings can be for a doctor or hospital appointment, trip to the shops or to visit family and friends. 

All car drivers are volunteers, we will collect you at an arranged time and can assist you into and out of the car if required. 

Client groups

Elderly or disabled people who are unable to get around independently. If you can't afford a taxi, reach the local bus stop or have no other means of transport available. 

Opening times

Volunteer drivers make themselves available Monday to Friday but not public holidays. The booking system is normally open 9am until 12noon, Monday to Friday. Outside of these times you can leave a message. 24 hours notice is required for a cancellation.

To use the car scheme you need to be able to get in and out of a car with a small amount of assistance.

If you are interested and would like to become a member of the car scheme, CTSW will send out a registration form which will include terms and conditions. The form requires personal details and mobility needs. There is a small annual membership fee.
