Specific training may help you understand the needs of the person you are caring for and how you can best support them. Carer Support Wiltshire coordinates a training network of organisations which work together to develop and deliver training to carers.

Training is offered to informal unpaid carers and covers many aspects of caring. You can learn more, gain insight, receive help and support but most of all be informed. Many topics are covered, including:

  • manual handing
  • basic first aid
  • benefit awareness; managing money and paying for care
  • computer training
  • mental capacity act
  • dementia training

  • Understanding Autism
  • Carers Awareness
  • Dementia
